Healthy Body, Healthy Mind Awards

The FCSA and Fife College are currently working towards the Healthy Body, Healthy Mind Awards (HBHM) and are committed to achieving Gold. The HBHM Awards focus on the links between sports, physical activity, mental health and smoking prevention. This award will help us to improve student and staff well-being and inspire positive change on campus.

As part of the HBHM Awards we have signed the SAMH Scotland’s Mental Health Charter for Physical Activity and Sport. This charter aims to improve equality and reduce discrimination for anyone with a mental health problem, ensuring there is no barrier to engaging, participating, and achieving in physical activity and sport.

College Sport Award

We have also been working towards the College Sport Award which is a self-improvement framework for colleges in Scotland that wish to provide physical activity and sport opportunities to their students, staff and communities.

In Feb 2020 we achieved the Working Towards Stage of the College Sport Award and are now aiming for our Bronze Award.
